The TaijiFit method of teaching focuses on instilling the practice of Tai Chi Through the experience of “flow”. Focusing purely on the experience of flow, participants engage in a moving meditation while also exercising the body.  There is no responsibility to learn, memorize or have any prior knowledge of Tai Chi.  There are no critiques, corrections, or criticism, so participants can focus on themselves and gain its benefits.  Tai Chi's slow, continuous movements are appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, and thanks to the TaijiFit teaching method, are easily accessible to all.  Tai Chi can be done standing or seated.

Have fun and while you get into shape!Learn the skills and etiquette of the Goju Karate Do style.  Along with fitness, this class will further develop a student’s self confidence, self control and respect.  This class focuses on the use of karate as a way of life, not a sport.  Taught by long time instructor Gary West.

The Brewer Parks and Recreation Department offers several opportunities for the basketball enthusiast starting with preschoolers through adults.Our winter line up includes preschool basketball, instructional basketball for grades k-1, and 2-3, and competitive leagues for grades 4 - 8.  *Sunday open gyms are scheduled throughout the winter months with times scheduled by grade. A flier will be posted on the home page of this site providing information on specific dates, times, and fees, or you can call us (207) 989 - 5199.

Got the Spirit? Let’s Hear It!!! During the winter months the Brewer Parks and Recreation Department offers two cheerleading programs;  Winter Sideline Cheer for grades 2 - 4 and Blizzard Cheer for grades K and 1. Cheerleaders will learn rousing cheers, jumps, and dances that will motivate their team and the crowd! During the summer months we offer our Champion Cheer Clinic for students entering grades 1 - 5. The clinic focuses on the exciting skills needed for performing sideline cheers and the thrill of motivating a crowd! Parents will are invited to a performance on the last day of the clinic.
