TaijiFit Class - TaijiFit May Tuesday Class The TaijiFit method of teaching focuses on instilling the practice of Tai Chi Through the experience of “flow”. Focusing purely on the experience of flow, participants engage in a moving meditation while also exercising the body. There is no responsibility to learn, memorize or have any prior knowledge of Tai Chi. There are no critiques, corrections, or criticism, so participants can focus on themselves and gain its benefits. Tai Chi's slow, continuous movements are appropriate for all ages and fitness levels, and thanks to the TaijiFit teaching method, are easily accessible to all. Tai Chi can be done standing or seated.

Swim Lessons, Session I - Swim (Session I) Mon. & Wed. (9:00 - 9:30) Brewer Parks & Recreation swim classes offer options and flexibility for swimmers of at least 3 years of age and all ability levels.Two sessions of classes are offered, each lasting four weeks. The first session of classes this summer will be held from June 27 - July 21. The second session of swim classes will be held from July 25 - August 19. Classes will meet two days a week, with a choice to attend a Monday/Wednesday class or a Tuesday/Thursday Class. (Friday's will be used as a possible make-up day.) Classes will be offered every half hour on the following schedule. Please be aware that there are a limited number of openings in each time frame so register early. 9:00 - 9:30 am9:45- 10:15am10:30 - 11:00 am11:15- 11:45amCLASS DESCRIPTIONS **Stage 1: MUST BE 3 YEARS OF AGE. This class will help students feel comfortable and explore the water while learning basic skills such as back float and glides. This is a great starting class for children with little or no experience in the water. Some of our 3 year old swimmers may need assistance from a parent or trusted adult to help them feel comfortable in the water, therefore one adult is allowed with our 3 year old swimmers if needed. Stage 2: Class instruction will include such skills as rhythmic breathing, floating and flutter kick. This class is for children who are comfortable in the water and know basic skills such as the “dog paddle”. Stage 3: Children will refine swim skills by learning the crawl stroke, backstroke, front dive, and jumping into the deep end of the pool. Stage 4: This class continues skills learned in Stage 3, and will include such skills as correct breathing techniques. Stage 5: Participants in this class will refine stroke techniques to combine the correct kicking, pulling and breathing techniques. Stage 6: This class will feature endurance skills and safety skills.

Field Hockey - Summer Field Hockey Join Brewer High School Field Hockey Coach Jessica Russell as she teaches field hockey players of all skill levels the game of Field Hockey. Learn new skills and sharpen your technique through conditioning, drills, and inter-practice scrimmages. Equipment will be available for players if needed.
